ICANN Asking Verisign To Back Down
The public aren’t the only ones concerned about Verisign’s abuse of its DNS monopoly, ICANN have asked them to “voluntarily suspend” their ‘Site Finder’ (read: forced search) ‘service’ for domains which don’t resolve properly. Well, just for something new, I’ve just registered dentedreality.org and dentedreality.net at Go Daddy. The DNS won’t have quite kicked in yet, but shouldn’t be too long (a day or so should do it).
