Now that the iPad is released, let's speculate on the next version: camera? video? more space? biometrics? Flash? SMS? Multitasking?
I feel like the iPad is trying to pull people back to the (bad) old days of un-tinkerable Macs. OSX was successful for a reason: BSD.
As long as I can jailbreak the iPad and install all the useful stuff that's restricted a la iPhone, it might just be useful.
